If the lighting is designed and that people enter a room do not necessarily think, "What a wonderful light," but think "What a beautiful room," In other words, good lighting is neither too light nor too dark, and usually draws attention instead to the space around the lamp, wall or ceiling.
Once you have a room of furniture, it's time to plan the lighting of most of it. While the lighting is just one of the most important functions ofLighting, your lighting design, the atmosphere you want and it should work with other elements of the space to create.
As for the atmosphere, in general, a room, the lights feel more optimistic and energetic, while a dark room feel more intimate and quiet. But you do not have to choose one or the other.
